Plagazi
What is new / important in the field of hydrogen this year from your point of view?
The world and policy makers have finally opened their eyes for hydrogen and understanding its strong potential to solve many problems that we have today. From being considered as a complex product, we experience more and more understanding of its use in ex. fuel for vehicles, heating and or electricity. Moreover, this year many new hydrogen production methods have caught great attention and risen to the surface. Previously, many have relied on electrolysis as the main production method, however people are opening their eyes for different processes. For instance, comparing Plagazi to electrolysis we do not only produce green hydrogen, in addition we are solving a global waste issue and transforming it into two end products - Green hydrogen and Liquid CO2 without any hazardous bi-products. Our two end products can be sold to customers that want green hydrogen but as well CO2 to Green houses.
What needs to be implemented as quickly as possible before or after the federal election?
We believe that support programs must be set up in such a way that small and medium-sized enterprises can benefit from them.
What do we need "less" for the further development of the "hydrogen economy - what" more "?
We believe that we should focus less on the specific colors of hydrogen and look further in details on the CO2 footprint and what the impact the production process has on our environment. When hiring DNV to complete a Lifecycle assessment of our process and to measure our CO2 footprint, we saw that we have a negative CO2 footprint and a smaller impact on our environment compared to other “green hydrogen” production methods as electrolysis.
What contribution do you make in your role / in your company?
We are actively working on creating brand awareness and spreading the word out about our Plagazi plants on the market. We have the opportunity to make a change in the Hydrogen world and we want everyone to know it.
What would you like to talk about in this context at beyondgas 2021?
We would like to speak about Plagazi as a company that is striving to revolutionize the production of green hydrogen while contributing to resolving the significant global issue of waste management. We want to underline what we can do for the planet and contribute to a circular economy. We have a patented process to produce green hydrogen from unrecyclable waste that currently is currently being disposed. We believe that we have the solution for a better planet.
